The Lord God showed Ezekiel the place of the future Temple. This verse says three times that the future Temple will not be built in Jerusalem, but in another place.
1. Ezekiel did not recognize the place shown to him.
2. In Jerusalem, there is no high mountain. (In fact, in Jerusalem there are no mountains, the whole city is located on squat hills.)
3. The First and Second Temples were not built on the southern slope of Zion Hill, but on the north.
Looking ahead, we can say that the exact location of the Third Temple is determined on the basis of the prophecy of Ezekiel.
The true location of Ezekiel's Temple:
31°29'N 35°15'E, Judean Desert, Nature Reserve, the southern slope of the mountain with a height of 543 m (according to other sources, 539 m), on the north bank of the stream Nahal Hever. It is about 30 km south of Jerusalem, between Hebron and Ein Gedi. The ruins of the ancient altar, which was built by Abraham in the land of Moriah (not to be confused with the "mountain" of Moriah in Jerusalem), are preserved at that place.
