Ezekiel 40:49

KJV:

49 The length of the porch was twenty cubits, and the breadth eleven cubits; and he brought me by the steps whereby they went up to it: and there were pillars by the posts, one on this side, and another on that side.

NASB:

49 The length of the porch was twenty cubits and the width eleven cubits; and at the stairway by which it was ascended were columns belonging to the side pillars, one on each side.

Here it is necessary to read in accordance with the version of the Masoretic text. The staircase leading to the porch of the Temple has 10 steps. It is very important. Thanks to this, we know the height of the steps and the step width of all the staircase in the Third Temple.

We believe that the height of the floor at the Temple is an integer number of cubits from the level of the courtyard. If this height was 2 cubits, then the height of one step would be 960/10 = 96 mm, it is too small. If this height was 4 cubits, then the height of one step would be 1920/10 = 192 mm, that is too much. The only suitable variant of the floor level height in the Temple is 3 cubits, then the step height is 1440/10 = 144 mm, and this completely suits us: the height of the steps of all the stationary stairs in the temple complex will be equal to 144 mm, and we can determine the step of the stairs from the tables.

In the 3d model of Ezekiel's Temple, I used a step of the ladder equal to 340 mm.

In architecture, it is not recommended to use stairways with an even number of steps. Therefore, the number of steps of the main staircase of the Third Temple is divided into two unequal parts: first there are 9 steps, then there is a landing, and then another step. This option of division was not chosen by chance. The first 9 steps correspond to the 9 commandments of bliss from the Sermon on the Mount of Jesus Christ. The last, separate step corresponds to the commandment of bliss from Daniel 12:12. This verse is directly related to the period of patience of the saints, when the Third Temple will already be built and consecrated.

Ezekiel 40. Ezekiel's Temple. The main staircase of Ezekiel's Temple has 10 steps.
